  Beside
playing various instruments, such as guitar, fiddle, mandolin,
violin, dobro, and a host of others, for the Moosehead Band for
over 20 years, Ernie Lewis
managed to pursue an academic carrier. He graduated
from California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) in 1994 with a Liberal Studies Degree.
Throughout his college stay, he focused on science and technology. His worldly interests
allowed him to gain entrance into the field of technology instruction, and he is grateful
for that. His other loves are music, traditional story telling, mountain biking,
wakeboarding, astronomy, biology, computer science, mathematics, and education.

Ernie began
working at Beardsley Junior High in 1995. Since that time, he, with the help of his mentor
teacher, Mr. Bob Sheldon, managed to write and implement a computer lab curriculum for
