Ernie Lewis
ernfiddlevp05.JPG (408869 bytes)Beside playing various instruments, such as guitar, fiddle, mandolin, violin, dobro, and a host of others, for the Moosehead Band for over 20 years, Ernie Lewis managed to pursue an academic carrier.  He graduated from California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) in 1994 with a Liberal Studies Degree. Throughout his college stay, he focused on science and technology. His worldly interests allowed him to gain entrance into the field of technology instruction, and he is grateful for that. His other loves are music, traditional story telling, mountain biking, wakeboarding, astronomy, biology, computer science, mathematics, and education.

  • Completing the Elementary Credential Program at CSUB with honors.
  • Receiving a grant for being the top student in the Elementary Credential Program at CSUB.
  • Creating and teaching a junior high school audiovisual lab curriculum.
  • Teaching for the University of San Diego.
  • Becoming a multimedia mentor for the California Technology Assistance Program (CTAP).
  • Completing the CLAD certification from the University of San Diego.
  • Obtaining Level III TechMentor certification from CTAP.
  • Receiving a clear teaching credential in 2001.
  • Helping to create and then teach in a Paxton/Patterson industrial arts facility at Beardsley Junior High School.

Ernie has made a plethora of new friends, both academic and professional, along his studious journey. His main goals are to continue helping students advance their life skills through the use of technology and hard work and to finish his fifth year to obtain his full state credential.
